Piggy Beginner Guide: Controls, Items and First Escape

Know the official controls

These bindings come from the official Roblox experience description. Always follow the prompts displayed by the current game client if they differ.

• Computer: click to pick up or use an item; press Ctrl to crouch or place a trap when playing as Piggy.
• Mobile: tap the on-screen action for item use and crouching.
• Controller: right trigger for item use; B for crouch or trap.

A first-run plan that teaches the map

1. Choose Book 1 House and, if available in the vote, Bot mode. A consistent AI opponent helps you learn the item chain.
2. At spawn, identify the exit and its visible locks or obstacles. This turns random searching into a clear checklist.
3. Open accessible rooms before carrying tools across the whole map. Each new door reveals more possible item spawns.
4. Use a found item at its matching lock or machine, then remember where the next useful item was left.
5. When chased, turn through open rooms and use crouch routes where the map allows. Return to the puzzle once the path is clear.

Five habits that save failed runs

• Do not assume an item always appears in the same spot. The route is stable; individual spawns can vary.
• Call out or remember where you dropped a tool. Teammates may need it later.
• Clear a nearby lock before taking another item if the first tool would otherwise be hard to relocate.
• Watch the exit checklist rather than following Piggy around the map without a goal.
• After a loss, use spectating to learn a room or handoff instead of resetting without new information.
